Well, the heat is here, and if you're anything like me, you're ready to enjoy the slightly more relaxed vibes of summertime. I love to use this time of year to soak in everything our beautiful Pinellas County has to offer, and enjoy a bit less tourist traffic. I can't help but feel lucky to live and work in such a vibrant and scenic part of Florida.
Whether you're a long-time resident or new to the area, there’s always something magical to experience. From the white-sand beaches of Pinellas County to the vibrant nightlife and mouthwatering coastal cuisine that Tampa Bay offers, we truly live in our own slice of paradise.
Here are 3 must-do local activities to make the most of your summer:
🌊 1. Sunset at Clearwater BeachYou haven’t fully lived the Pinellas life until you’ve watched the sun dip into the Gulf at Clearwater Beach. Grab an ice cream, stroll along Pier 60, and enjoy the local street performers. It’s the perfect way to unwind after a long day.
🎶 2. Nightlife in Downtown St. PeteIf you’re craving live music, craft cocktails, and that electric summer buzz, downtown St. Petersburg is the place to be. With rooftop bars, art walks, and waterfront dining, there’s never a dull moment once the sun goes down!
🍤 3. Dine Like a Local in DunedinThis charming coastal town is full of hidden gems. From fresh seafood to unique local breweries, Dunedin offers a foodie experience you won’t forget. Don’t miss out on the famous grouper sandwiches at Olde Bay Café or a flight at Dunedin Brewery!
And if you're feeling adventurous, don’t forget—we’re just a short drive from Tampa! Here are
3 bonus spots across the bay that are well worth a visit this summer:
🌿 1. Tampa RiverwalkStretching along the Hillsborough River, the Riverwalk is perfect for a scenic stroll, bike ride, or even a bite to eat along the waterfront. Stop by Armature Works or grab a coffee and people-watch near Curtis Hixon Park.
🐠 2. Florida AquariumA great option for a family outing or a date-day escape from the heat, the Florida Aquarium in downtown Tampa offers an up-close look at sea life from Florida’s waters and beyond. Kids (and adults!) love the touch tanks.
⚾ 3. Catch a Rays Game Nothing says summer like cheering on the Rays with a cold drink and a ballpark hot dog.
As always, if you or someone you know is thinking about making a move—whether buying, selling, or just exploring options—I’m only a phone call or email away. And if you're just looking for more great local spots or events, I'm happy to share those too. After all, real estate is about more than homes—it's about lifestyle!
Wishing you a sun-kissed, joy-filled summer!
Warmly,
Melody
